SnowI saw her in the wake of the forest
And as she ran I screamed,
Because it was too much
And I still,
Could not imagine what had taken place,
Only moments ago,
In this,
A small corner of humanity,
Where none had been
And yet it was everywhere I had ever wanted to be.
And as the snow flakes lightly fell upon my cold skin
And the sky grew darker overhead,
Fading from dusk to night,
I lay there,
Content ,
And yet afraid,
Of uncertainty , and  despair,
And that longing for lips
against my own,
Just one last time …
